Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Skills Training Group
If you have been diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder, or you believe you may have it or some of the symptoms, you might consider joining our Dialectical Behavior Skills Training Group and/or individual therapy in DBT.
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) combines cognitive and behavioral therapy, incorporating methodologies from various practices including Eastern mindfulness techniques. DBT was created by Dr. Marsha Linehan and is the therapy of choice for people suffering with Borderline Personality Disorder. I currently provide a DBT program consisting of two phases, a skills training group and a maintenance group. If you are interested in becoming a part of the program, or wish to learn more, click on the forms below and contact our office.
DBT has been one of the most researched and successful therapies for the treatment of BPD and Bipolar Disorder. Many of my clients who only have symptoms of these disorders, not the full disorder, have received great benefits from using the skills taught in their lives. I hope that if you are struggling with mood instability, impulsive actions and decisions, difficulty in maintaining healthy relationships, or just don’t like your life the way it is that you will contact us and let me share with you how we can help.
From Mary Beth…
“DBT skills changed my life in so many ways. I have learned better ways to relate to others, can manage my feelings much better, and I don’t freak out all the time about everything! I am so glad that I learned these skills and that Gwen helped me through this time.”
